I am super excited to be posting for today’s Friday Night Light posting! Thanks, Kristine, for inviting me to be a part of your fab blog! 

When asked to find a light fixture to share, I thought it would be a much easier task. But settling on the perfect selection was not easy, because there are so many awesome fixtures to be found, and I didn’t want to disappoint. If you’ve seen my blog, you know that I am such a fan of minimal/neutral design, with a twist of unique interest, which is why I think the Caboche Pendant Lamp, designed by Patricia Urquiola & Eliana Gerotto, is perfect! Totally would fit in many different spaces, while offering a dynamic impact….I love that they offer a ceiling light version as well! The price tag doesn’t really fit my budget…*sigh*…but, a girl can always dream. Hope you enjoy…Happy Friday Night Lighting!

Chair Makeover

So here are some before pictures of the chairs in the office and some details of the finished pieces. I found three of these lovelies at a furniture consignment store and got them to reduce the price a little! I guess they had been there for awhile...crazy! Anyway I scored them for $125 (that's for all three)! Yay! I knew I wanted to change the upholstery and paint them. They were kind of a white washed oak color, which could be fine, but it kind of had a pink tinge to it. Anyway I decided that an off-white would be best. I also wanted to use a fun graphic fabric on the front and a contrasting fabric on the back. They really get you coming and going! I'll try and get the re-upholstering how-to post together soon!

Loving Trad Home

The newest digital home mag collaboration between Lonny Magazine and Traditional Home is awesome! You can check it out here! Thanks to Hana over at The XIVth Chair for the heads up that it was out!

They also have a feature on Louis chairs. This is really fun to see especially before I share the rest of the before/after pictures of my own chairs! Hope to have those up later!

Friday Night Light!

Tonight's friday night light is the Dolce Linear Suspension Chandelier by Corbett. It's a more polished take on the capiz shell chandelier. With the little crystals above each capiz piece, and the warm gold color, it's a real stunner! You can find it here.

The Office

Yay! The office is done! Finally, I can share some of the pictures! I so wanted this room to be a peaceful retreat to work, design, and paint. I also wanted us to have a room with personal touches that are special to us! The chairs were re-upholstered with the help of my super talented mom. I will let her share some of her tips and our process soon! Over the next couple of days I will share some more close-ups and detailed explanations of projects throughout the room!

I gave the vintage typewriter as a gift to my fiance. 

The nailhead board was a DIY project that I did from the awesome tutorial provided by Bryn over at her fabulous blog found here! I can look at my inspiration from my desk!
