Friday Night Light

Today's friday night light is the Era chandelier. I love it's simple graceful lines and beautiful shape. This mid-century french design was given a new fresh edge and could be used in so many different spaces. It is also designed by Laurie Smith, the same Laurie from Trading Spaces...the southern belle that actually did rooms I would like. Remember her? I didn't realize until I did a little research that she designed this chandelier. You can find it here.

Waking up walls

No surprise here that I have love for wallpaper! The pattern...the impact...it can definitely take the snooze out of a plain room, without having to spend too much. The wallpaper line Shand Kydd has some great patterns and ranges from $64 - $92....you can check it out here. My girl Marcy from the fabulous blog, A Designer's Nestpicked the Geometric stripe pattern and if you go to the bottom you can check out her amazing transformation!

Over the holidays I helped Marcy paper the wall in her dining room. I think it looks amazing. What an impact! She is still figuring out how she wants to style it, but I thought I would share the pictures of the dramatic change!

Velvet Crush

Loooving velvet sofas right now! I would love one of these beauties for our formal living room. Especially loving navy velvet. Thought I would do a line-up of possible sofa choices for anyone loving velvet as much as myself! First a couple of inspiration pics!

Timeless Treasures

As I said yesterday, I spent the weekend at my Grandma's house. She gave me some beautiful treasures to take home! First is this amazing suitcase. It was my Great Grandma's and when she brought my Grandma home she put her baby clothes inside of it. It's a really cool woven material with a great graphic paper lining inside! It means so much to me to have pieces that are so rich in family history! I'll have to find a special place for this!

She also gave me some great milk glass sherbet glasses. My Grandma has slowly been giving me pieces from her collection of milk glass that I adore and store in a special cabinet off of our kitchen.

I'm thinking some wallpaper could be cute to line the back.
Here is some more of my collection. Love the milk glass!

Eye Candy

I spent the weekend out of town at my grandma's house! There's no internet there, so blogging wasn't even an option. I did get to spend quality time with family, and hear lots of great stories! She also sent a few lovelies home to live with me that I will show tomorrow! In the meantime I thought I would share some beautiful interior design photos from Jeneration Interiors. Total Design Crush!

Friday Night Light

Today's friday night light is from Oly. The pipa bowl is a white resin beauty! Would be gorgeous in so many different types of rooms. Love that it is such a substantial size too!

Friday Night Light

Really loving these orb chandeliers. The first one is from Z Gallerie. The second is from Restoration Hardware that I found on Copy Cat Chic. The Z Gallerie version is more affordable and probably
my fav.
